“An Amish woman I cared for once made me these muffins and shared the recipe with me… The muffins she brought were such a simple gesture, but it stayed with me.

Working in rural healthcare, you realize how much people really look out for each other. We may not always have a lot of resources, but there’s a strong sense of community where you care for your patients, and somehow, they just might care for you right back.

These muffins are more than just a snack to me. They’re a reminder that what we do matters to people and that even on the hardest days, the care we give is felt, remembered, and sometimes comes back to us in the most unexpected, meaningful ways.”
